I had a difficult time selecting these few titles. I've read all or parts of thousands of books, and continue to read, sometimes for pleasure.

Even as I write this, there are a few titles I ought to add. Raymond Carver's collection of short stories What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, and William Goldman's The Princess Bride are two of them.
